This is not how it should be. The back-end is for site management, not for content creation.
The proper workflow:
The content is created by the Author, checked by the Editor and approved by the Publisher from the FRONT END.
While your back-end content creation is wrong, it works as long as the administrators are the only content creators. That is, the site is a small, amateur thing. In the minute the site actually works - people are visiting and creating contents - your workflow will fail - or are you going to give Manager right to every Joe Bloggs to publish?
Or will you give manager rights to every 'publishers'??
